The apartment was designed with entertaining in mind, keeping the decor chic yet eclectic to convey a sense of sophisticated fun. The sleek U-shaped matt grey kitchen with bespoke open-shelving opening onto the jungle inspired lounge coupled with the pale grey laminate flooring create a feeling of vast bright space.
The statement pieces play a vital role in elevating the space as a whole from the limited edition disco-ball trolley bar and super-luxe Eichholtz palm tree floor lamp to the brass egg chair imported from Amsterdam nestled in the corner of the lounge.
nimtim ArchitectsA bold and colourful transformation of a terraced house in South London’s Corbett Estate creating a bright and joyous home for our client, her two daughters and her dog. The works created a new family space at ground, a master bedroom suite at first floor and a new loft room.
The existing house was in poor condition however it had clearly been a well loved family home which we and our client recognised and valued. Our proposal therefore deliberately referenced colours and materials from the existing house and reinvented them as something appropriate for a contemporary family home. Rather than erasing the character and history of the house, we were able to continue the story of the house into its new incarnation.
Muchmore DesignA palette of jade and soft green was used used in this bedroom, is punctuated with burnt orange joinery.
Narrow shelving installed above the bed, is used to display artwork and treasured pieces. The room faces towards the front of the property and its occupants afforded privacy by the three metre wide, narrow window, positioned to look out of and not into the room.
UserOn a quiet street in Clifton a Georgian townhouse has undergone a stunning transformation. Inside, our designer Tim was tasked with creating three functional and inviting bathrooms. A key aspect of the brief was storage, as the bathrooms needed to stand up to every day family life whilst still maintaining the luxury aesthetic of the period property. The family bathroom cleverly conceals a boiler behind soft blue paneling while the shower is enclosed with an innovative frameless sliding screen allowing a large showering space without compromising the openness of the space. The ensuite bathroom with floating sink unit with built in storage and solid surface sink offers both practical storage and easy cleaning. On the top floor a guest shower room houses a generous shower with recessed open shelving and another practical floating vanity unit with integrated sink.
Urban SkiesThis penthouse apartment situated in the heart of the capitol demanded a stunning and inviting roof garden to really give the client a stunning outside space in the ultimate Urban setting. Working with the Landscaper, we helped develop this amazing covered seating pergola. The design incorporated an extruded aluminium framework with motorised aluminium louvres to give the client shade control but to give the space weather protection. We then included remote operated LED perimeter lighting within the roof along with an integrated heater.
