This beautiful light blue kitchen adds a unique twist to our classic Hartford style. Our Iris paint adds just the right amount of colour to show personality without becoming overwhelming, picking out key details such as the beaded frames and delicately carved cornice. The Falcon Deluxe range cooker, in its new colour of Blue Nickel, completes the look for a perfectly coordinated kitchen. The bespoke kitchen island has been hand-finished in Tom Howley’s Iris paint, with a Silestone Yukon work surface precision-cut to the custom dimensions. We included the Dusted Oak base to provide a touch of contrast and additional convenient storage.

This is an Inframe kitchen which is hand painted in two Little Greene colours - Slaked Lime Green Deep and French Grey Dark – both of which are an ideal match for the resilient and durable Lagoon Quartz worktop and but also a lovely contrast to the Planked Oak at the curved end of the island. Keeping it contemporary the owners chose an elegant Antiqued Mirror splashback with gold backing which helps to elevate this classic Shaker out-of-the-ordinary and adds a real touch of pzzazz! Other great choices are the gorgeous Lacanche Macon Classic Range Cooker in Mandarin - a bang-on-trend colour which adds warmth and personality as well as being a really good cooker and the large Liebherr fridge freezer in Stainless Steel. An essential for family living, and something we’re regularly asked to build, is the chalk board cupboard which has a convenient push-to-open mechanism and shelves inside. The cool limestone flooring is a great choice and keeps it practical - timely considering the owners welcomed their first child during the build!

This Moroccan Grey Limestone is hand finished. Its softened pillowed edges give this stone its delicate yet industrial rustic nature. With hand aged surface including pitting and surface marks make this unique Rustic Limestone one for any contemporary space. We used the Moroccan Grey stone as part of the clients wish to match the concrete worktops he was having made. He had been looking around for a stone for over a year before contacting us. He was very happy with the result.

You can add a breakfast bar or counter to your existing kitchen units, or stick with a good old-fashioned dining table if you don’t need the extra work surfaces. Shaker style cabinets and raised and recessed panel cabinets offer a more traditional kitchen cabinet look, while flat panel cabinet doors tend to lend more to the modern and contemporary style. However, going for raised or recessed panel work in a striking colour such as dark blue, green or black can still work with contemporary kitchen ideas. White kitchens can give a sleek and clean feel, but remember you may have to do a bit more cleaning of those cupboard doors if you want everything to stay shiny and fresh. You can also look at corner drawers and cupboards that open up to reveal lots of extra storage.
