New corten steel raised garden bed helps level this sloping front garden in Moonee Ponds, Melbourne. Sprawling plants help to soften the edges, with clipped English Buxus balls and silver birch trees creating a sense of order and drama. Laser cut metal wall art clads onto the driveway fence (also with a modern rust finish). Image by Benjamin Carter of Boodle Concepts Landscaping.

Wolf residence (two years after installation) from sidewalk view. Custom concrete lawn pads (small) create walkway from drive to front door in a way that will not make a pathway in the turf as a result of foot traffic. While they appear to be flowers, this is actually Snow in Summer Jasmine (groundcover) which has small white and pink leaves that look like a flower from afar but are very hearty. Terraced look to the shrubs in the bed against the house.

Advanced Grass

Joanne Kostecky Petito The bridge over the pond is a feature of the garden. Moss rocks,, pea gravel, and a ground cover of mazus enhances the space.
Little Miracles Designs
In a suburb less than 3 miles from Manhattan an old house underwent a major facelift. I had a good fortune of being invited to participate on the garden design and installation.
In the front a simple corten steel frame lifts an arrangement of Carex Pensilvanica, that will mature into a lawn that will not need mowing. Playful clusters of Boxwoods add structure and winter interest.
