No.8 project involves the complete redesign of an outdated home, transforming it into an open, functional, and welcoming home for a growing family. The goal was to create a space filled with light and a blend of modern aesthetics with practical, family-friendly features, ensuring that the space is both beautiful and liveable. Space Planning & Layout Design: Reviewing the floor plan to maximise flow, usability, and natural light, ensuring every room meets the family’s needs. Colour Scheme & Materials: Curating a modern bright palette that reflects the family’s personality, with a balance of warm neutrals, bold accent colours, and textures that invite comfort. ​ Bespoke Design: Designing custom features, such as a bespoke staircase and built-in joinery underneath, to keep the space clear of clutter and maintain a seamless, clean look.

Abbott-Wade installed this elegant new Seamless Glass staircase in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, combining the timeless appeal of natural oak with the clean, modern look of seamless glass. Designed and built as a complete replacement, the staircase features handcrafted oak treads, risers and handrails, carefully finished to highlight the natural character and warmth of the timber. To enhance the contemporary feel, seamless toughened glass panels were installed without the use of brackets or visible fixings. This minimalist design allows for uninterrupted sightlines and maximum light flow, making the space feel brighter and more open. This staircase is a perfect example of Abbott-Wade’s ability to blend traditional joinery with modern design. Each element was measured, crafted and fitted with precision, resulting in a high-quality, bespoke feature that adds lasting value and style to the home.
