Landry & Arcari Rugs and Carpeting
In September of 2015, Boston magazine opened its eleventh Design Home project at Turner Hill, a residential, luxury golf community in Ipswich, MA. The featured unit is a three story residence with an eclectic, sophisticated style. Situated just miles from the ocean, this idyllic residence has top of the line appliances, exquisite millwork, and lush furnishings.
Landry & Arcari Rugs and Carpeting consulted with lead designer Chelsi Christensen and provided over a dozen rugs for this project. For more information about the Design Home, please visit:

This client wanted a fresh start, taking only minimal items from her old house when she moved. We gave the kitchen and half bath a facelift, and then decorated the rest of the house with all new furniture and decor, while incorporating her unique and funky art and family pieces. The result is a house filled with fun and unexpected surprises, one of our favorites to date!

Off white walls contrast with charcoal black doors and frames and a dark leather floor tile. Classic 1950s String modular shelving unit in white. Original 1950s open back chair in emerald green leatherette. Custom-built storage and stairs that lead to a small sleeping platform in the eaves.

Flat fold roman shades are paired with both solid and print panels with a large valance for a striking statement in any room.
House of a Different Color
Home office design. Previously a blank slate room: beige carpet and walls. Used client's existing desk and repurposed her antique lingerie chest for office supply storage. About half of the wall art was already owned by the client, but we reframed some pieces and added some. Picked up the rug, corner chair, side table, lamp, and small decor pieces from auctions and estate sales for pennies on the dollar. Client painted the accent wall herself, to save costs. Flooring was done in LVP as a whole-home re-flooring job at the start of the condo renovation, during which all flooring throughout the home was replaced with LVP except in bedrooms. Cost for materials, furniture, and decor purchased for this room was under $750; with flooring cost for this space added, it would be approximately $2,000 all in.

This room had no storage and homeowner works from home. I designed this wall unit around the windows and to the height of the existing large window complex and tied it together with a picture molding. There is a tv in the center cabinet and additional storage for small office supplies at the far ends. Across from the desk is a sleeper sofa so this room doubles as a guest room. Custom doors were sourced, and combined with antique hardware, to create a unique first impression in this home office.
House of a Different Color
Industrial lighting, carved wood accents, warm neutrals, travel photography and souvenirs, and antique furniture pieces come together to create a boho-styled home office area, repurposing many of the existing furnishings that had been in this former dining room.
A mirror hung high on the wall reflects the light and color from the adjacent playroom. The desk was created from a salvaged door. Open, but tucked-away, storage space was created from a repurposed bar cart, and antique sideboards store office supplies. An open area was left in the middle of the room for taking periodic yoga breaks, or pulling up the corner chair to watch some tv. Custom curtains and a punched-metal star lantern bring rich texture and pattern, while providing light-filtering privacy.
Canvas art print, frames, and corner shelving from World Market. Antique sideboard from China. Antique cabinet from Indonesia. Industrial-style light from Home Depot. Rug from Wayfair. Door from local seller. Chair from Zuo Modern showroom sample sale.

A laidback place to work, take photos, and make videos for a content creator that doubles as an entertaining space. The key to transforming the mood in a room is good lighting. These LED lights provide uplighting in a warm tone to lower the energy and it's also on a dimmer. And the custom neon lights make it vibey.
Perfect Touch Interiors

This project shows how a small room can become a functional yet stylish home office. Finding the right size desk for its use and space is very important. We added shelving units for great storage and a place to showcase beautiful items, as well as a pull-out couch which provides a seating area or an extra bed for guests to sleep in. This is a great example of how to maximize the use of a space.
