need help with colours for living room
Comments (5)I must admit the cashew looks pretty white on an iPad! I would maybe try a grey with a hint of mauve (you know the colour that they quite often use for french chairs etc). I've looked at the following from zoffany: fig grey, dusk and victorian purple. They may be too much purple so you could buy a grey and mix your own with a mauve tester pot...See MoreNeed help please with this wall in living room
Comments (2)Simple is the right style for the fireplace. But that means you can't crowd it with large furniture or it easily gets lost. Can you rearrange the furniture?...See MoreLiving Room Help With Everything!
Comments (8)From the looks of things, that really is the only place for the sectional. So...can you pull it out just a foot maybe away from the window? Move your tv over the stove if safe to do and try a big plant in that corner where the tv is now. Your painting behind some is way too big for that wall. Move to opposite wall. I would remove the black loves eat and replace with two reading chairs and maybe that end table you have by the sofa. For window treatments I just do not see drapes/curtains working in this room with that sectional....See MoreHelp! how should I arrange my living room furniture?
Comments (0)I'd love some advice on how to arrange my living room furniture, starting with a completely blank canvas. The room will be used as a child-free retreat, mainly in the evenings for reading, watching movies and some entertaining. The window faces south east so it is bright during the day and looks over the front garden. We will probably get built ins around the fireplace to store books. I am thinking about getting a corner sofa oriented towards the tv on the right side of the fireplace but I am worried then that the wall opposite the window will just be blank. I'd like to put a chair there too but when you are entering the room I think it will appear to stick out a lot. What could I put on that wall? Could I orient the room the opposite way by putting the tv on the left of the fireplace or would that feel strange entering the room between couches? Would it be better if the door opened the opposite way? What size should the sofa be, given the room is 4.1x4.2m? I have attached a diagram of the room layout and what I am thinking currently. Any suggestions welcome! Thank you!...See Moreneano10
