The house is located in Michigan, on Lake Michigan. The dimensions are roughly 26-0x74-0. The front is a screened porch and is two levels. The Main Level is and outdoor Living Room. The second level has day beds that the client can use as a sleeping porch.
This house is a prototype for resale, constructed of Structural Insulated Panels.
was cost the reason to build this way without a kneewall for second floor? (8 foot SIPS are cheaper?) Or design choice only? I'd imagine 24' wide with kneewall would give same or more usable s.f. than 26' without.
