This is an internal window from our dining room into the hall. It is from the 1960s. We are having a total house renovation and are putting veluxes on the landing. We are torn keep it in some form or brick it up. I’ve shown the stairs too
I don’t like the internal window and with velux at the top of the stairs it’s probably not necessary.
Blocking it up is not your only option. You could remove the wall all together to have a dining hall. This will make the house feel bigger.
You could change the height of the aperture, remove the brick below the window (and the radiator) . An open aperture looks good or you could get glazed doors.
