My initial thought would be to knock out the wall between the Dining Room and the Kitchen.

I would then run a bank of base units under the window (Bin, sink, dishwasher ETC) with a parallel island (Venting Hob, Drawers, Pull Outs)

You then have space on the bottom wall (opposite the stairs) to run your tall units such as oven stack, fridge, freezer ETC.

You could take this one step further and block up the door between the Kitchen and Hallway which will give you a large run of tall units, you could also fit a big pantry unit in there too.

If you don’t need all the garage for storage, consider getting a joiner to put up a stud wall with a through door, and taking the back half for the utility room and leaving the front half as garage/storage. This way, you could knock through into your existing utility room to create a lovely huge space across the back of the house. Which way does the back garden face? If north or east, I would consider glass doors rather than a solid wall in between the lounge and kitchen- diner. Good luck!

By all means ignore these ramblings…. wall between kitchen/dining room-gone; patio door in dining room-gone; erect a wall between dining room/living room… then the kitchen etc is installed in what is currently the dining room, the door into the current kitchen becomes a ‘door and a half’ with clear glazing, french doors installed where you currently have the kitchen sink again clear-glazed… so on entering the house and looking down the hallway from the front door you see clear-glazed ‘door and a half’ through to clear-glazed french doors through to your garden… so a larger room but swap over dining and working areas and bring your garden into the home….
