Wall covering in our new home for the kitchen dining lounge.
9 months in with new furniture and decorations. We now want to highlight the wall behind our table and chairs. We would like to create a mural of concrete or bricks or a n other??
Maybe someone can throw some ideas from the pictures attached.

Mixing antique brass and polished chrome in the dining room & kitchen
Comments (16)What I'm actually wondering though is about mixing the metals - so having the chandelier and lamps with the touch of silver - or would I be better to source antique brass lamps like I have in some other rooms in the house - I kind of wanted to feature quite a bit of glass, and generally the glass comes with chrome, but I'm not sure if it's too modern for the sideboard etc, and mores worried about the clash of metals, but something tells me it might be ok in this instance! I have chrome taps and rainfall shower head in new bathroom and kept with antique brass for the light fittings and door/press knobs. Comments (3)Thank you both for taking the time to comment. Yes it would be better without the doors but unfortunately the doors have to stay. Patricia's U-shaped idea is promising. I could use the outer two thirds of the 'conservatory' area as a 'lounge' space and then place a dining table extending up into the rest of the kitchen area. I'm just unsure as to whether it will work as a unified space....See More

20 days agoThanks everyone so much to digest. My wife likes this mural which was put together by Bobbie Beck. I just wonder if this would be too heavy a look, although when the bi-fold doors ever get opened the wood behind the fence might draw it all together
