I am replacing the carpet on our stairs. I wanted to just replace the carpet going upstairs to the bedrooms. We also have carpet on the stairs going down to the kitchen. For the stairs going down to the kitchen I was considering going for wood. Only issue is that the wood on the first floor and the wood on the ground floor won’t match the new steps. So any thoughts on whether to go with wood ( engineered or veneered) or stick with same carpet. I’ve also included my possible colour choices if anyone has an opinion!Thank you!
