Light or dark grey or cream would blend in almost seamlessly. You could also use tan leather if you like leather. Terracotta would work too but is having a moment so a limited shelf life for an expensive item. I would go for a neutral but this depends on your family situation and how hardwearing you expect it to be.
I would be inclined to place the tv on the opposite wall and have a neutral sofa and chair with removable covers to keep it clean. You could have an L-shape with a seat or just a 3 seater with a separate armchair. The rug should be a decent size front legs of sofa on it and covering good portion of the room.
I think a mid blue coluor would look good. The carpet has tones of grey which are kind of linked to blue. Look at the colour in the photos of the blue outside the window and how well it goes with the colour of the floor and carpet. If you get thr same tones as tour oretty carpet I think the room will have a washed out pale look and feel cold
