I like it all so far, especially the wooden slatted panelling. Your tv is a good height too. If you remove everything except the tv, panelling and unit there is already quite a lot going on. I think I would add a tall floorlamp on the right in the corner, something black and I like the floating shelf idea. I wouldn't do the wallpaper it's a bit busy with the slatted panelling. Think less is more. You don't need to cover every surface with something.

It looks lovely as it is, but a floor lamp always adds a homely feel or even just a bigger plant.

It looks so beautiful, could you please share where you got those wooden panels please.

I have seen something similar to yours but they have panels on both sides of the wall.

Nice start to the space - just using a similar (but waterproof) slatwall panel in a bathroom we're working on!

As to options - it depends a little how bold you want to be, but if you want a really grown-up, sophisticated look, I would paint out that back wall on an "off black" - anthracite-ish) matt, wrap the "frames" of your media unit in a woodgrain to match the slatwall (can't see the exact colour option, but you'll get something close!), wrap the doors of that unit in a soft-touch, supermatt anthracite (or get new door panels made to replace them - not costly!) and then on the RHS have open black metal framed shelves with wood (effect) shelves, possibly extending one or two over the TV.

Below is an image of a bathroom using this sort of "moody" colour scheme, which actually works well in TV/Media rooms, as all the focus goes to the screen.

It comes in 3 or 4 heights, allowing it to be combined in different ways to frame around other furniture.

If you are going with a wood finish then it should match or go for black.
