The existing rug is too small , it’s actually from another room just as a test for patterns and colours. Drapes ? White semi sheer plus privacy drapes on both sides ?
I like the rug, it adds colour to a very grey room. Have you fully opened the rug out as it looks like it’s scrunched up under the sofa, or is that something else? I think wooden Venetians would be nice at the windows with simple plain curtains to dress them. Blinds can create partial or full privacy as required. I would use one set of curtains for both windows as it could look a little cluttered if you had 2 sets. Maybe patterned curtains to add interest?
Thanks @Sonia. I like the rug but it’s small. I think I can buy larger size . It’s a fake vintage design and we love it . The drapes you posted are pretty but not sure if they go with the room style . Would white semi sheers look too formal?
Yes Petra those faux vintage rugs are just gorgeous and a fabulous choice of colours. You are very overlooked so think sheers would do it. There are also blinds that you can see out of but no one can see in, my brother has them at his sports club. Think they’re called privacy blinds.
