Semi D soundproofing

Does anybody have any recommendations of soundproofing the party/adjoining wall of our semi d house. Looking for company recommendations as many places I’ve tried are no longer soundproofing. Also wondering would insulation do a similar job?

I would definitely go for a larger kitchen therefore a swap. Also if structure allows to remove this little bit of unnecessary wall by current kitchen entrance would make the space more open.( I think in the other plan I see it is happening?) the outside door swap for a window is a very good idea in my mind.

Carpet on stairs, laminate on landing?

Hi, I have semi-solid wood flooring in the hallway of my house and I want to put laminate upstairs in the bedrooms and the landing but I'm confused about what to do with the stairs. Ideally I'd like a laminate stairs but am concerned about it not matching the wood in the hall and I've also been told by various suppliers that it's an awkward job that they don't usually do. I'd also be worried about children slipping on a laminate stairs. If I go with carpet I'd prefer not to have to carpet the landing as well but am worried that might look strange and how to finish the top step seems to be a difficulty as well both from an aesthetic and safety point of view. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Soundproofig existing plasterboard walls

Hi, Anyone know if it's possible to have some sort of sound eliminating material put in between existing plasterboard walls up stairs? I have a standard 3 bed semi detached house and noise between rooms especially the bathroom & main bedroom and the en suite and spare room is very loud. The rooms are small so putting extra soundproof plasterboard on to the existing walls would just make the rooms even smaller? Many thanks for any tips or advice!

A medium color floor is easier to keep looking clean than a dark or light floor. For an open floor plan, I would choose planks. One of the main features in the design of an open floor plan is to draw the eye through the space. A herringbone pattern would be confusing to the eye. Use herringbone in a small room.
