Soundproofig existing plasterboard walls

Hi,
Anyone know if it's possible to have some sort of sound eliminating material put in between existing plasterboard walls up stairs? I have a standard 3 bed semi detached house and noise between rooms especially the bathroom & main bedroom
and the en suite and spare room is very loud. The rooms are small so putting extra soundproof plasterboard on to the existing walls would just make the rooms even smaller?
