I am considering this backsplash with marble countertops. Do you think a darker grout would look ok?

It's usually best for the grout color to match the tile color as closely as possible, especially for a traditional look. If you are going for a very contemporary look however, and you like a high-contrast, active aesthetic, then a darker grout color would be okay. Hope that helps!

@Jayme Hobbs .. thanks a mil Jayme I had been looking at a light grey colour but was afraid it might end up looking just whitewashed but I love the wall paint in the pic. @eagledzines.. I've attached the closeup of the counter, will look into changing the handles just to give the cabinets a lift. @Dannielle Lyn... Thank you for your suggestions and ideas! I love some of the more daring/colourful ideas, but I don't think I'm, personally, bold enough to go with such a contemporary look. I'm going to stick to a traditional/modern style and use large (4" x 8") white subway tiles and dark grey grout. I'm thinking of using a dark grey paint around the kitchen walls and then a lighter shade around the rest of the room, with maybe the dark grey on the wall behind the TV too. Will be a few more weeks before that's all done, but I'll post a picture when I eventually get there. Thanks again!

I am looking to put the glass backsplash against a dark grey wall do you think the dark and light grey would look good?

Be VERY careful with a darker grout. Tile installation must be flawlessly level and perpendicular. Dark grout shows every flaw no matter how tiny it is.
