New house - where to put second bathroom
We have just put an offer in on a house, and wouod ideally like to get another bathroom in
where wouod you think is best? we dont want to lose a bedroom, but dont know how else to do it? can you just put an en suite anywhere or does it depend on pipes? also wodnering about somewhere on the landing?

10 months agoConsider turning the top of the stairs and putting an extra shower room on the landing.

Comments (21)My understanding: You didn't find any problem functionally, but you feel this looks old & need some brightness & change in this. My advise: 1). Remove towel rod, shift it next to tub or behind closet & have full length mirror, which will make your space double & reflect natural light as well thus makes the space more bright. 2). Get couple of plants (small plants or bush type or creepers which doesn't occupy much space on floor but grows vertically). 3). Get some artifacts made from bright colored glass, can flower vase or wall hangings or glass tiles etc, these can be of yellow or Bright Orange color these are to be hung on walls opp to mirror or pasted(3M tape both side glued) if you are using tiles. 4). Get a mat of same color as artifacts & place between tub & closet. these all are easily done by yourself. OR if you can afford to then replace only green tiles & floor tiles if you wish to OR all tiles....See MoreElizabeth B

10 months agoPersonally I think it makes little difference to the value to change from a five to four bed. Personally this is what I would do.

10 months agolast modified: 10 months agoYou might be able to create an ensuite to bedroom 4 if you raise the lower landing height …and maybe create another ensuite at the rear (but the plan’s measurements are conflicting here….it could be quite tight)….but maybe if you only wish to use the smallest bedroom
