Hi! I’m looking for some help on styling my bay window in living room. Pic is attached but it’s quite close to our sofa. I want to make it a nice inviting nook but not sure if space will allow it? Thanks for any advice Measurements are 40cm depth 167 wide.
Difficult to advise as not much of the room is in the photo. My first thought is to put the sofa in front of the window if there’s room. Can the shoe thingy go elsewhere? Or you could swop it for an enclosed one.
Hi Emily O, would you go for a built in window seat? The window seat could have storage underneath for shoes etc? It can also be another seat to sit and read or for when you have guests. To make it cosy you could choose a lovely fabric for the seat and add some cushions too. Hope this helps!😊

How about a bar trolley? The space is quite small so this piece of furniture could be moved but also will add a surface for putting your dinks on and if you get one with the closed bottom you add storage space. It would look great, styled with a lamp and fresh flowers. I hope that helps, please see the pictures below which gives you an idea how this could look.
It’s a relatively shallow bay. You could build a bench with storage but you might find that the bench doesn’t get a lot of use because of the relatively small seating area. I think the space would be ideal for a Christmas tree this time of year so having a bar or small cabinet on wheels might be the best option to facilitate flexible use of the space.
I agree with the Living House - a built in window seat with storage, would solve your shoe storage and tidy up the wires. I’m assuming the room / hallway isn’t large ?
