All my units are at one end and dinning at other. I'm wondering if I could change - add units or an island as it seems like a dead space. Plants are all my mum's as she moving house. 🙂
Hi Louise. I can see your predicament. You could add an addtional 600mm wide unit to the projected counter behind the fridge. If you extend that too far it will compromise the ciruclation as you have a unit on the adjacent wall. You should typically leave at least 1m as best practise. If you wanted a quirky alternative, you could have floor to ceiling cabinets Infront of the door way on the left with a hidden door into that space. Hopefully this helps
Personally I don’t think there’s a need, or room for any more kitchen units from the photos, unless you’re planning to remove the table? I like the unit you have behind the table but if you desperately need more storage, maybe a longer sideboard type unit could go there? Personally I like having the distinction between kitchen style units on one side and then more ‘relaxed’ living / dining style furniture on the other.
