Here’s ours. The kitchen end is 3.15m wide and the family room side is a bit bigger at 3.5m wide. We took the wall out around 7 years ago- wish we’d done it sooner. L

We are about to open our kitchen up and with our plans will lose the existing radiator from the kitchen. Our builder says one large radiator in the existing dining room will heat the entire 6x3m space but I'm not sure ὢC. He has suggested the option of a kick floor heater as an additional heat source if required.

We've got a vertical radiator on one side (the black one you can see in the first pic) and a plinth heater, connected to the central heating, in the kitchen - sounds like your builder is suggesting the same thing.
