coffee table decision

Good evening,
I’ve started to decorate my living and I feel that nothing is coming together ☹️😩
At the moment I am looking for a rug and a coffee table to match my sofa/living but I am not sure what style should I get🤷‍♀️
Should I get a round coffee table?
Should I get a white/beige rug to light up the room??
I need your help because I don’t want to make another mistake 🤦‍♀️.
