We would like to have curtains along our front window but the ceiling is lower than the top of the window and has moulding along it so I can’t see how it can be done without looking a bit strange from the outside. Any ideas? Many thanks
I’m not a fan of pelmets, but I wonder whether it might be a solution for you? You could have a curtain rail across the window recess immediately below the coving, then a pelmet above to hide the rail and the odd top of window arrangement.
Thanks all. Husband is not a fan of Roman blinds but they might be a solution. A simple pelmet may work and look ok internally I wonder if that and Roman blinds may work (aesthetically from outside) or may look too busy.. ?
Another vote for Roman blinds installed directly in the recess of window, behind the dropped ceiling area. From the outside, it would look like normal Roman bling (as they will cover a bit of the window and hide the pipes cover) and from the inside, they will be hidden behind the pipes. And easy access to pull them up/down with the chain.
