bathroom tile - help me decide!

Hi All, getting the bathroom fully refurbed and have pretty much settled on the first pic for tile idea- white hex mosaic with black grout on floor with white metro or subway tile with either grey or black grout on walls. Can’t decide on whether to have flat subway tile or have the metro tile with its bevelled edge, or a larger metro tile. Is flat or bevelled better ? Or is it just purely down to design preferences? Tiling will be full height . Room is fairly small and will be a shower over bath. Probs will have black accessories with wood vanity to warm up the decor. Have never replaced a bathroom and am going out of my mind with all the choices!

Hello. What did you decide on in the end? I have non bevelled metro tiles on the walls and trying to decide if I should do a hex mosaic for the floor, perhaps slightly larger than the penny size.

You have a lot of space here. Instead of the pedestal sink, look for a nice vanity. You can change the mirror to something larger and more modern. As for the lights, you could have sconces or two pendants on each side of the mirror. I am assuming that the tile stays. Otherwise, you can pick any tile.

Hello Orlac2, yes you could turn the bath round and have a smaller one.. Like a tubby.. You could also take out the bath and install a shower, have a wet room style with full tiling and back to wall sink and loo.. Could be a rather luxurious shower room.. but if the bath is required then why not look at getting a Tubby Torre by Albion. They have a whole range but this is a favourite.. It can be painted any colour you like.. I like the copper colour.. You get a really fantastic soak and it's a beautiful little tub! As well as a shower. : ))

If it was me, I would centre it and only silicone the back. I understand your concerns about water going down the side. Realistically, though, as you will only be washing your hands and maybe teeth in it, there is unlikely to be much water gushing about. To detract from the fact there is not as much space on either side of sink, I would have carpenter either wall mount or put legs on the cabinet so there is space underneath and the unit doesn't look too chunky!
