Hi, thanks for your comment. I totally agree - I actually have a large art print on order (vertical/ portrait orientation) and that will be replacing the mirror when it arrives. From previous comments I received everyone seems have different opinions on sofa choices but I think I'm pretty happy with the L shape one I've gone with - it fits the space a lot better (I think!) than the 3 & 2 seaters I previously had. I contemplated going with a different lighter sofa colour but practicality won in the end!

Maybe an L shaped, with no back on one part of the L, this backless part in front of the windows so the view/light isn't blocked. Its hard to tell if you can fit a 2 seater in as opening to RT would be blocked also... so maybe 2 neater comfy chairs ...you might fit a love seat in. Sometimes a skinny console table with a lamp etc is nice to have against the back of the sofa as it can help define the 2 different areas.. just my thoughts. I think that's concrete floor? you can draw your dimensions before you buy to see if they'll work..

I have a long kitchen one end is a living area with Stanley range cooker on brick wall coffee table and brown leather couch and leather chair , other end has L shaped kitchen grey in colour, with oak dining table and chairs brown leather seating, my problem is what colour tiles should i have in kitchen area, floor has old fashioned 80's style tiles cream with brown diamond shape in each 4 tiles.

Hi, Looking for some styling advice. We just bought our 1950's home and not sure whether to keep or get rid of the fireplace. I do think it's lovely but we are not sure what colour we would paint the walls with it. I also love the idea of a cassette stove which would give us more space in a smallish front living room. We do like mid century style and scandi style but arnt sure how to incorporate the fireplace with this. We were gifted a really nice grey L-shape couch which we want to keep in here for now. Any advice greatly appreciated!
