What are people's thoughts on architrave when it comes to pocket doors? the double pocket doors will be left open most of the time. We will have this type of glazed double pocket door from a kitchen-dining room into a living room (although our glass will be clear, not frosted). There will also be a single glazed (frosted) pocket door into a small study area off of the kitchen.

I'm getting quotes for the installation of either a sliding door or bifold doors across the back of our house. Will be about 4m wide. Some builders saying a steel beam above and below to enable door to slide properly. Has anyone done this type of job or have any advice?
