We’re struggling a bit with how to make this room look more contemporary. It’s a new build (~15 years) so I know I need to be respectful of that too. I suspect the carpet and media unit is letting it down. I actually really like having the coziness of carpet even though wooden flooring would make a huge difference. Also we have a dog, so not sure if the loop pile carpets would work or not (I do think they look stylish, though).
On the media unit, the TV is on legs and is large, meaning we’re struggling to find a unit that is deep enough for the TV to swing out as the width of the gap is only 120cm.
Does anyone have any suggestions please?
