Cream cupboards with White flooring?

Hi,

We are creating an open plan living room.

For kitchen cupboards we sort-a 98% decided to go for Glossy Cream cupboards, and white sparkle Quartz. Cobalt Pearl Blue island, again with the same Quartz. With good under cabinet lightings. Bronze toughened Mirror splashback. This all are confirmed.

We are deciding the flooring now. We initially thought to have white glossy porcelain tiles (with marble effect maybe). But I am wondering if the white flooring and white countertop would make the cream cupboards dull? Looking for suggestions for other flooring colours. I am not fond of wooden colour flooring as have had it for 15+ years. And also not dark colours. It is a small open plan, so I am afraid dark colours would make it even more darker.

I would suggest a grey too. It’s a neutral colour so may work well.

100% Wood. I actually am installing for the second time wood flooring in my kitchen and dining area in fact the whole first floor. I did the second floor in Brazilian Cherry and just love it so much more than the oak that I currently have. However if I had to choose I would choose the oak floors over tile every time. They wear better look so much prettier. And like the previous poster pointed out I hate dirty grout lines.

Here is a "stone look" Armstrong product linoleum that will not compete with all the color of backsplash. It is slightly darker than the cabinets which will ground the room nicely. Agree that you probably don't need more tile lines.

The builder ought to be ashamed for not cleaning up each night...that is part of what my contractors do...every night. As far as flooring...since the cabinets are on the darker side...use a contrasting flooring in travertine stone. use the largest pieces you can get...usually 18" are good but if you can get 24" that's even better! Put them on the diamond. as far as backsplash use travertine again and bring in the same color as the flooring. Use a touch of contrast in the pattern like a darker liner or a motif of somekind.

I would still do an island. You have the space. I hate having my stove against the wall. You get boxed in and forget about two people working at once. How about stove in island, fridge all the way down to the right? You don't want the fridge to interrupt work space. You will end up w two too-small spaces instead of one nice functional one. We had an island with a downdraft Jenn-air stove-worked quite well for most needs.

Hello Confused, It depends on what your style is. Do you have any photos of the cab, island etc you have ordered? What is the layout? You can have blond wood flooring or complimentary coloured tiles. Do your cupboards have handles if yes you could get different coloured ones. But you could continue a line / block of colour (same as Island) that leads from your island along the floor. The rest can be white. Create a border around the floor or cabinets then the rest white. Almost like a rug, but in tiles. There is so much you can do... you could also have lights in the floor or put LED strips on the underside of the island to light up the floor.... Or how about bronze metallic border, to continue the sparkles and then white. Or cream border getting lighter to white. I hope these help

I know this is a bathroom but has the colours .... eg This could be the rug with white tile border or vice versa.
