We're getting our kitchen designed along the line of the attached pictures except that out kitchen will be cream/ivory/white. Trying to decide should we put wood flooring or ceramic tiles down. Any suggestions would be helpful. If timber/tiles what color would suit. Thanks
After having removed tile flooring in a gut remodel last year, I say to absolutely, unequivocally do wood :)
Wood can be refinished in the future but tile is permanent unless you want to have it power chiseled up and a fine layer of dust over every single item in your house. Plus, I HATE cleaning grout lines :(
100% Wood. I actually am installing for the second time wood flooring in my kitchen and dining area in fact the whole first floor. I did the second floor in Brazilian Cherry and just love it so much more than the oak that I currently have. However if I had to choose I would choose the oak floors over tile every time. They wear better look so much prettier. And like the previous poster pointed out I hate dirty grout lines.
I would go with wood floors. Tile floors can look lovely but wood adds such a warmth to any room. Plus, it would look amazing with your white/ivory kitchen.
