need help to choose collor for walls in my sitting room
Comments (6)I'm thinking a warm gray...it would accent the mirror and go beautifully with the color of the fire surround and the gray floor. You could do the chimney breast (the bumped out wall) in a slightly darker shade that the other walls. As noted above, look at the Affinity Colors from Ben Moore as your inspiration, then you can look at other manufacturers. Also, not that you asked, but replace the "feathers" on the mantel with something else...they're too close to the look of the mirror and almost look as though they have fallen off...use them elsewhere in the room, grouped together....See MoreFlooring - kitchen, dining, utility room, possibly hall & sitting room
Comments (2)You could do a look like this if you choose the right linoleum. Be careful or it could look cheap. The black & white pic is probably tile but could be done in linoleum. Second is marmoleum. Get the real linoleum (not shiny)...See Morei need help with my small sitting room

Without structural changes, the best option would be to move the desk to the wall beside the double doors or to the wall bounding the kitchen and put a sofa (you may fit a three seater) to the left of the fireplace and buy two nice chairs on double door side of the fireplace. Something like this but without the middle sofa. A big mirror over the fireplace will help bounce light. Longer term, perhaps you should consider opening up the kitchen. You could put storage into that recessed area inside the door....See Morelarney26
