Clay flue and register plate

Have a fireplace that looks like the pictures. The flue is a clay flue and is clear (cctv shows it’s clear up to the top). Question is, looking at the video, would a normal clay flue adapter and register plate work to install a wood burning stove? Fireplace used to have a wood burning stove but has been removed to leave as shown.
