Sorry, the builder pulled in an outside interior designer so I was not in the loop for that part.

My light casts it's frame shadow, but it's not that noticeable because it's way up high (see pic) mine is in a double floor height ceiling. I think if the pendant was lower, then shadows would be more prominent. Also, my light isn't as busy, so the shadows are less. Overall, my take is the busier the pendant and lower the height, you'll see more shadows. (don't mind the paint job, still in reno)

Light fittings in kitchen

Hey folks I think I have gone a little wrong in my kitchen lighting and wiring plan. I have a mildly vaulted ceiling (so it's high) and originally i had planned to run a kitchen island down the centre with the table across the door at the back. So i positioned the two pendant light cables accordingly down the centre. There is a ring of spot lights all around the edge of the room. Now the island will be shifted right closer to the main worktop and the table will run parallel on the other side closer to the door leaving my two centre lights hanging over nothing as such. Moving/extending the cables is going to be challenging. Will this look at bit daft? Any suggestions of light fittings for this sort of scenario? The purpose of the pendant lights are for more atmosphere and will be a warmer light than the recess lights.

Original ones we put in seem a bit bland now so looking to make the space a bit more dramatic now. Also if anyone can recommend increasing the seating options around the island with a retro fit wooden top piece I’d love to hear from you! Thank!
