Dining room

I want my dining room and kitchen to blend.I want to decorate the dining room,thinking of cream panelling and radiator covers,also a nice rug under the table.Should I extend the breakfast bar?The black chair is the dog's bed.What about a new armchair/window seats?Should I rearrange furniture.Please help!

I think you can pull this together with some elbow grease and a few dollars. I'm not sure what you mean about extending the breakfast bar, but since the top looks like dark granite and everything else appears to be very light and neutral it give the Kitchen a a cave like effect. You might find a darker chandalier and hang it 30" off the table top instead of so low. Use a flat weave rug in simple stripes or a cisal with a dark border. Darker seat cushions tied onto the chairs. Replace the mirror with a single large clorful print.

Yes the top is black granite,I had played with the idea of changing it to an island.What type of panelling should I use. What style of chandelier.Many thanks,

Hi, We recently moved into a new home and we're redecorating two adjoining rooms. It's myself and my wife at the moment, and in around 6 weeks there'll be a little one joining us :) Here's an album of the two rooms with a floor plan https://photos.app.goo.gl/w4d77HhJhGxuUdGt9 I've arranged to get the floors refinished over the next few weeks (once our 'lock-down' is over!). The room without the TV will be a dining room/office combo, it's south-facing. Generally, they are quite bright when all doors and blinds are open, but the windows are not huge so there aren't awash with light all the time. We're having real trouble deciding on a colour scheme. Could anybody offer any inspiration? For the furniture, the main thing we plan on keeping is the sofa, the rest is likely to be changed. Thanks!

Hello We have a 2.2 metre table in an open plan kitchen/dining/lounge room. Its a vaulted ceiling and we have chandelier type light in the centre. The dining table is on one side of the room and a lounge with sofas on the other side. The ceiling is 320cm high and Im just at a loss as to what type of light to put over the table should it be 1, 2, 3? Should they be individual or grouped together? Any ideas welcomed Thanks

Hi all, I have designed my lighting and electric plan for a new build this way. I've never done it before and am afraid I will miss something. Please give any comments or suggestions you might have. Kitchen has 2 pendants (A and B on plan) over an island and lighting under the top cabinets. Am wondering if I may need also some discreet light from the top as well. The top cabinets might miss some light I think. Living room has one pendant over coffee table (C) and a discreet light (D) over the TV cabinet. Dining room has 2 pendant lights (E and F). You need to add some more pics as cant see the space you have between the kitchen and living room entrance - you dont want to extend the island if it makes the passage to the dining room too narrow. We recently did a new york renovation where we extended the kitchen by making it half open. see pictures
