Comments (10)If you are going to do this - make sure the bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe space etc - don't scrimp ! Ideally every woman wants at least double the wardrobe space she already has !! And a walk-in wardrobe / dressing room is something that would earn any developer brownie points !! So if you have the space ... Use it well !! Breakfast areas in morning sunshine work well and evening sun in the lounge is good - inside outside fireplaces can work really well and everybody needs storage for summer /winter stuff (ski /scuba /suitcases etc ) so worth adding in storage somewhere accessible (like utility room ) for that sort of gear too ! This is an awesome opportunity for you ! Have fun !!!...See Moresmall room - want to make it functional
Comments (2)If it all fits in then why not. I don't think the desk will go with the bed or maybe it would work it the desk was painted. Do you need the desk or could you use a smaller console table for working/doing things from ? Not a fan of sliding doors would rather swop the door so it opens the other way if space is an issue. What is going on the shelves are they needed ?...See Morehow to make the best use of space in a new extension
Comments (0)Hi 👋🏻 help please :) I am About to embark on our first home renovation and it’s already making my head hurt! We have a 3 bed semi d built in the 50s and are hoping to extend by 3.5 -4 metres out the back, convert the garage and build over it to create a bigger 3rd bedroom and a small 4th. I’m finding it so difficult to finalise the design downstairs - we want an open plan kitchen dining, a decent utility, guest WC and place for the kids and us to Hang out. We are keeping the sitting room at the front as a separate sitting room and using the garage conversion as a study/office. I would very much appreciate any thoughts, suggestions on the attached design....See MoreHelp with ground floor layout
Comments (1)I personally think an en-suite would be more practical and will add value than a dedicated office. Could you fit the washing machine under the stairs. You have ample room in the kitchen to have an office area by the small window....See MorePatricia Colwell Consulting
