About 12 inches is standard, but in this case we kept it a little lower to match the base molding. Any height that is comfortable will work as long as the washer drain height is correct (check with the manufacturer to confirm what height is necessary for the unit.) We typically specify that the drain be located a generic 30" above the floor or platform/drawer. This seems to work with most manufactures.
