Help with colours
Comments (53)Thanks a mil! That's the thing about new colour. It does take some getting used to. However I had my babies room, a spare room and the inside of my front door painted at the same time last week and love all of the colours chosen but this one I just can't look at. It turned out to be more of a minty green than the colour samples on the wall. One of the fabrics below are being make up in a footstool and I think it may be overkill with too much colour. I wanted the coushions and footstool to pop as those are the things you spend the most amount of money on rather than the paint. In saying that. The cost of the paint was expensive and also paying someone to do it. Now to do it all over again is not ideal.:(. i took the cushions and fabric into one of my other rooms to see what it looked like against a more neutral background and felt it looked a little better. See pics below. Any other paint suggestions are much appreciated....See MoreNew kitchen colour ideas
Comments (4)White goes with anything. We have a high gloss white handleless kitchen from Crown but the good thing is that our kitchen decor can always be updated. Walls can literally be painted any colour and it will go, same with wallpaper and even changing the worktops. If you want something this becoming in style, light grey kitchens are becoming an extremely popular alternative to white. We have hints of light grey in our kitchen (Cornice and end panels to frame it)...See MoreNeighbours extension wall
Comments (19)The rules may have changed but when we built our extension the wall adjoining our neighbour had to be completely within our own boundary. It looks as if your neighbour has continued along the party wall and therefore half the depth of the wall is on your land. It might be worth getting a chartered building surveyor to check it out as otherwise it may cause difficulties when either you or your neighbour come to sell. If I'm wrong about this maybe a professional on here could correct me. Other than that I think you should make the best of the little private courtyard it has afforded you by using plants in pots and climbers to soften the wall....See MoreIndoor: Real or artificial plants?
Comments (17)Most welcome Alena, Thank you! I have actually never really tried flower arranging before! I used the McQ ribbon for effect that I had kept from that florist but I bought the faux flowers from Oka! So I realised I can offer this service to my clients real or faux! :))...See MoreMay Anderson
