Hallway help - Keep or return
Bought this planter today but not sure if it adds anything to my hallway? Obviously I still need to add a plant but not sure if I should bother now?
Someone suggested adding a floating shelf on the opposite wall closet to the front door with a mirror or picture above it?
Or else I ditch the planter and go for console table and mirror at entrance?
Opinions please!

You already have the wrought iron, which definitely dictates a certain look. Comments (16)A niche would be a good way to add some drama without infringing on your circulation space. It doesn't have to be deep to be effective. You can do one simple vertical rectangle, and line the back with a mirror, or add some colour with paint, wallcovering or wood. It would be great if you could also add a recessed light fixture at the top. The attached images are perhaps too busy for your situation, but it gives you a good idea of what can be done. 7 years agoYou have such a lovely hallway. I think once you pop in a few plants in that planter it will make all the difference. As E D suggested, Peace Lilies are great and don’t mind low light, as does Philodendron which is a hanging plant so would look great scrambling over and down the planter. Another easy plant is Sensiviera which copes well with living indoors. A console table is always a great addition to any hall.
