Comments (20)I agree deepen the color, don't change it and yes art art art! maybe lessen the presence of the brick with the earlier suggestion of the metal cogs its and use traditional artwork pics/nature/paintings on the painted wall. Comments (9)Firstly, get matching beds and put them end to end so the 6month old is closer to the door for checking on in the night. If you need a changing unit in the room then it could slot between the beds. I'd like to see pics of the wardrobe and the radiator wall. I'm imagining it is probably in an awkward place like smack in the middle of the wall ; D. How about getting a radiator cover and then above that making a shallow bookshelf for their smaller books, special toys and a few photos. Then I'd have matching wardrobes either side to store everything else! Décor - not sure if you're thinking that far ahead yet but I'd paint all the walls white to keep the timber from looking too yellowy (I doubt you've got time to be painting furniture!) get matching bedding for both beds, a wall decal (inexpensive and easy to change as they get older or if you sell the house) in pink, a basic white drum shade for the light (IKEA) and a set of pink or white eyelet curtains and pink tiebacks. 5 years agoHi there! We absolutely agree with Leonie - a rug would add warmth to the room. Terracotta is actually quite a trending colour finish at the moment, so try to work with it rather than cover it! That bowl is a fantastic accent piece to work from, there are some great colours in there - skewing towards cooler colours like blues and greens or neutrals will probably suit the terracotta tones best. We'd also recommend avoiding strong square geometrics - an organic, floral design or even a plain colour can help break up the grid of tiles. A few rug ideas for you - remember that custom colouring is always an option to get the perfect shade!

5 years agoSo, Leonie, the rug arrived today & even though I can’t unroll it (my husband is away ) it looks fantastic! Many many thanks for opening my mind to colour & encouraging me to take the “plunge” & thereby getting my “beige man” to go with colour too!
