Why not simply fill the gap. A simply straight board like the kickboard at the base or bottom point where the cabinets meet the floor can be inserted. This can even be enhanced by using a cornice type finish and if you wish add a bit of colour to complement your kitchen . You would also choose to change colour of kickboard/plinth at the floor to keep a nice overall appearance. CJL

I was hoping to put the above colours on cabinets. Second hand house. My kitchen flows into hall and sitting room. The floors would need to be the same I was hoping to put medium grey but dont think both green and grey will work well have you any thoughts. Thank You

We are building an extension to our house to include a larger kitchen and open plan dining and living room. In our kitchen we are having a large island (3.5 metres long). On the back wall we will have tall kitchen cabinets. We love the look of flat island units but prefer shaker style for the tall units. Can you mix styles? Would anyone like to share their opinions on this?

Hi guys advise needed. After much back and forth I have decided to get our kitchen/livingroom/diner painted duckegg blue. I adore the colour. I was wanting duckegg blue cabinets but feel that it would be too much duckegg. What colour kitchen cabinets and island would u suggest.
