It is not Sherwin Williams Federal Blue, which is actually a gray with blue undertones In found out when I picked up a sample.

Taupe and oak don't look good together at all as they're too close to each other so they clash. The colors that do look wonderful with oak and similar wood colors are olive and gray greens along with gray blues. We've been putting in a lot of wood trim so I've had to analyze this for the last several months. Hi, I am having trouble deciding what colour to paint my new home, I would like to keep the cottage / farm feel. I have just started cleaning the roof which turned out to be a red asbestos slate of which im thinking of painting black or slate grey.
