Comments (16)sorry haven't been on here much and havent had time or money to much about my room but should be getting to work in the next few weeks/month. I've added some more photos to give a better idea of the layout of the room and the dimensions. the first one is a view from the bed or the foot of the bed, so you can see the wall space isn't massive. The horrible curtains are waiting to be changed when I get all the work done! The second photo is the other wall to show where the door to the room is. Carolyn the wardrobe in the photo there is the one I'm going to put in the nook and then I was thinking of getting a carpenter to build shelving on the wall where the wardrobe currently is. Around the bed then would be more storage and shelves either side to act as bedside tables. As anyone any ideas for the type of shelving I should be looking to get built? I would be looking to hold - clothes that wouldn't be hanging like jumpers, t-shirts etc. I would definitely need an area for books/magazines, an area for toiletries and maybe then storage for items such as bed linen, blankets and random items like chargers for phones, laptops etc....See MoreBedroom accessories
Comments (5)How about a traditional sheepskin rug for the floor, this will look great on the wood and is lovely for bare feet when you get out of bed in the morning! As for the curtains and bedding, with grey walls and white furniture, you have the liberty to do as you like. Personally, I would add some pattern with colour in the curtains (nothing too garish!) attached is a pattern by Romo. I would keep the bed linen a plain colour, below is Secret Linen Store, relaxed denim bedding in Graphite Grey then you can add some pattern and colour with cushions and throws. If you like slightly bolder colour patterns, Bluebellgray also do some lovely fabrics in bold but beautiful prints. I hope the suggestions help!...See MoreHelp with a boring bedroom
Comments (23)Adding width BEHIND THE BED - with a headboard (which doesn't have to be a "headboard"; it could be fabric, collection of mirrors, collection of pictures, a farm gate!, small chairs or stools) across the entire width. Matching bedside tables/bookcases/chests/ with LAMPS - useful storage for extra books, extra bedding, etc. CURTAINS always warm up a room. People will always feel colder away from home - provide an extra blanket or duvet to add to the bed. I notice there is no WARDROBE. Not really necessary for overnight guests (provide hooks on the back of the door) but useful for storing your out-of-season coats, etc. There is plenty of room behind the door. Buy one on eBay and paint it to suit your colour scheme....See MoreBedroom Updating - no idea where to start!
Comments (3)There may have been too much text on the posting. Not sure what device you're on but it doesn't work on an iPad if there's too much text! Try uploading again or if that doesn't work create a new Ideabook and save them in there...See MoreSE Interiors
