I have purchased a new curtain pole only too find out the batten in my living room is too small (my fault I didn't check the size properly) for the fittings. I have bay windows so finding a decent curtain pole on the cheaper side is difficult. I previously had a plastic curtain track but I was wanting something a bit nicer looking. Could I place the curtain pole above the batten. I have plasterboard walls and the pole is a little on the heavier side (Swish Design 28mm). I have around 15-20 cm between the top of the batten and the ceiling but I don't think hanging my curtain pole off the ceiling will look good. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
