Need help with kitchen wall color
We recently had our kitchen cabinets painted and are looking for a new wall color. The current color is SW Mindful Gray, trying to pull out the colors from the granite and curtains. Due to lighting, it appears gray on some walls and green on others. We tried SW Kilim Beige and it is too similar to the cabinet color. We went a shade darker to Nomadic Dessert and it has too much gold in it. Trying to avoid green undertones. HELP.

Comments (9)Thank you for your suggestions and ideas! I love some of the more daring/colourful ideas, but I don't think I'm, personally, bold enough to go with such a contemporary look. I'm going to stick to a traditional/modern style and use large (4" x 8") white subway tiles and dark grey grout. I'm thinking of using a dark grey paint around the kitchen walls and then a lighter shade around the rest of the room, with maybe the dark grey on the wall behind the TV too. Comments (15)We just painted a color called "Latte" over the dark red walls in our place and we keep thinking that someone left the light on! It adds that much light to the place as the red was just sucking out any light in the place. Find a color you like more for that wall and repaint...and/or maybe add a ceramic tile backsplash? Comments (12)I really like the clean lines of your kitchen , it's beautiful and I would not add to much colour but you could use some accessories with green and white that would compliment this minimalistic kitchen. For example adding a bright green plant/s or an accessory the same colour as the clock on your top wall can put everything in a nice perspective!...See More

6 years agoI agree with changing the lighting, however if you want to warm up the space and match the counter tops and fabric - a greige rather than a gray would help a lot! Sherwin Williams "Perfect Greige" is a good example! Whatever you choose, definitely check swatches on every wall to see how the light hits them in those areas. Good luck!!
