Before and After kitchen renovation on a very tight budget.
Comments (15)It is fair comment on not so pretty tiles and unfortunately you can't do much with the floor here because it covers too large area. On a picture you can see only lounge area, which is actually part of the kitchen. Tiles cover floor in the kitchen, lounge area and dining room. Extra large rug wouldn't make it better. This project has two tough points: tight budget and timing....See MoreBuy/Build/Renovate? Advice needed!
Comments (0)Hi everyone. Looking to become a homeowner & feel a little green, so would love some insight and advice on the above. The area that we are looking in has a very limited number of options currently on offer. There is one house available that looks in need of complete renovation/modernisation (it has been on the market for a number of years, has not been lived in full time for over a decade & looking at pictures seems like it would need a completely new heating system - looks to be all storage heaters at the moment). However, there is a good amount of garden space with it, which is really appealing and it could have great potential - because it has been on the market for so long, maybe we could haggle with the price? Every time I watch a home renovation show, it seems that there are so many hidden costs and ends up costing over what was originally budgeted! Would love to hear from someone who has recently undertaken a similar project - it is a 2 storey and would possibly need a kitchen extension or some changes to the floor plan for a more open living space downstairs. What were the costs like? How long did the project take? Did you manage to stay within your budget? Is it worth renovating over trying to do a self build? There are some sites for sale in the area too, but would be apprehensive about not being able to get planning permission on a site - would it be silly to purchase a site without planning? Having more control over the project/fewer surprise costs would be really appealing, but obviously don't want to be left with a site if we aren't granted planning. Those of you that have gone the self - build route, did you manage to stay on budget & how long was the process from start to finish?...See MoreKitchen Cabinets Painted - Before and After
Comments (0)When it comes to updating your kitchen, a full renovation can be a significant investment. The cost of a new kitchen can vary greatly depending on the size of your space, the materials you choose, and the complexity of the installation. In comparison, spray painting your kitchen cabinets is a more affordable option that can still provide a significant visual impact. According to industry estimates, the average cost of a new kitchen in Ireland can range from €10,000 to €30,000 or more. This cost includes materials, installation, and any additional costs like plumbing and electrical work. In contrast, spray painting your kitchen cabinets with a company like SPRAY PAINT IRELAND can cost between €1,000 to €4,000, depending on the size of your kitchen and the type of finish you choose. Comments (22)These pictures are great, we will definitely do something with the small garden but I was thinking that the entrance floor which currently holds two living rooms will never be used unless we change this to the kitchen / living area as this is currently where we spend all our time. We could still have a small kitchenette in the basement next to the large sitting room to sit out on a nice day but otherwise I feel we will spend all our time on the entrance floor / first floor...See MoreDaisy England
