Wood and dogs are never a good combo I have slate look and feel laminate which has withstood 7 yrs of 2 big goldies with not one scratch and grandkids in and out of the pool.

Hi. totally off point but.... Have you ever considered a real interesting eye catching piece of art work to really brighten up this area I think a select piece of art would really make the space stand out, add interest, colour, texture and add a great talking/thinking point to the room.... Please check out my website if like the idea and please get in contact, commission work is also welcomed so if you like a particular style I can do in a select colour palette and size but with this it can only be done as a original piece and not a print..... but all prints i can do to the same size or smaller than my original paintings, so lots of options........ We can't figure out how to use this space efficiently. We have a small hallway and need to find a way to hang our coats, organise our accessories like hats and umbrella, hold the dogs leash and toys, etc. we also have a 4 month baby to consider. the hallway has little natural light so mirrors are necessary. I prefer things to be hidden as much as possible. any ideas on how we can organise this space?

Hi all, I'm looking for information on what type of carpet I should put on our stairs. I'm looking for one that's easy to clean and that a child won't slip or trip on as much as might with some materials. we have 4 indoor dogs and they like to drag random irems like sticks and coal up the stairs. (I should probably invest in a closed coal box). I want something I can clean. We had a lovely carpet up the middle of the stairs with brass rods, but 1 of the dogs started biting the exposed timber, so I think we will probably go the full width this time and take away the rods. Any help appreciated.
