Got new wardrobes & I really dislike the colour of the glass it's a kinda of dark beige/biscuit colour. Too expensive to change the glass now..... What colour walls & furnishings will go?? Painted room a subtle grey/greige but not confident of the colour with the wardrobe! Someone please help. (Also carpet here to stay)
Hi! I had a quick look through the Houzz pics (imaginatively, under 'beige wardrobes'!) and most seem to be shades of coffee, caramel etc to tone with the wardrobes. I've attached some of the pics. One included a blue as an accent, which looked lovely if you're feeling brave! Alternatively, is the an option for taking off one or two of the doors, so some storage was open? I appreciate that's not ideal when you've paid for new doors, but might be a way of breaking up the colour, which might make it easier for you to enjoy? Final alternative: photo magnets are available in quite cool little squares. You could use sepia tones and arty images and use that to break up the panels, if you really hate them. I would guess, though, that with some room tweaks and time, you'll feel happier with them! Fingers crossed :) Good luck xx
think the ŵall colour is fine. I would just layer lots of different shades of grey and beige to bring it together. Stick to white bedding, add cushions and a throw in different shades with pattern and texture. Go for a pale biscuit or pale grey for the curtains/blinds. black accents also lift beige/grey so maybe furniture legs, picture frames, lamp shades etc. Maybe also add some gold for a ceiling light and mirror. For art, I would probably go for something with a white background just to bring more White into the room. Alternatively you could always add colour, as Pippa said blue works but any colour would as the scheme is neutral, I also think blush pink works really well. Good luck!
Ps - just discovered 'Adobe Window Films' who have a range of fabulous COLOURED film which means you could use a colour from the palate you want in the room decoration. I love it!
