Thanks guys, in my own head I was thinking mismatched chairs, maybe painted in a neutral shabby chic kind of way, but I'm really impressed with both the ghost chair and the tobias as it makes it all about the table but definitely puts a modern twist on it. Any other photos out there of the ghost or tobias in situ?

Hello, you made a lovely job painting your kitchen, if you have an old table and chairs, what about painting those? do the legs of the table & chairs white & the tops grey. Or alternatively just do the table and get new chairs if the budget stretches? there are very reasonable chair covers too on www.wish.com that cover old chairs and come in lots of funky bright colours that would be perfect too.

Hi all, I'm looking for some inspiration for this space in kitchen. My husband likes the idea of having two low comfy chairs and a small table for coffee/breakfast in the morning, like how I have set up in photo no.1. I like this idea and could add a few shelves above to fill out but then as you can see from photo no.2, this leads to a huge amount of unused space in the middle of the room! Anyone any ideas? Should we try a bar with bar stools instead to try and utilise the space better? I like the idea of a bar too but I need to be careful of kitchen door that it has enough space to open and that walkway to dining room and back door are clear. In the show house, the designer but a kitchen table and chairs here and the back room was a tv room but we are using back room as a big dining room with big table hence this weird space in kitchen to fill. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi I just got new dining chairs,still waiting on two more to go with my 10yr old table. I didn’t want to go with oak chairs again but I’m not sure if this looks right? Should I paint the legs of the table maybe cream,stain them a darker colour or leave it alone?
