colour match help needed!

Can anybody help with what colours would go with these. I have tried cream, grey, blue and a lighter brown but none of them work with it. it's to paint the other 3 walls in the room and the other half doesn't want green. Any suggestions?

Well, you could match the white background, perhaps. Otherwise I think that green is the best choice. Curious that your other half doesn't like green and yet this paper features it quite strongly...

he didn't like the paper when I first bought it but likes it now. I work for a paint company so got the cream colour in the wallpaper matched and it just didn't look right

Is the chandelier thing seeming a bit small for the room or is it just me? Given that your walls are plain, the sofa is plain how about a patterned rug? Do you like Persian rugs? I find that dark green wainscotting too heavy and would paint it a lighter color. Given you have just moved in I assume you are planning to be there a while. If you like traditional style do you want a fairly safe color scheme re walls and curtains, keeping future resale in mind. Or are u happy to decorate according to your tastes? The mirror seems a bit small to me.

I must admit the cashew looks pretty white on an iPad! I would maybe try a grey with a hint of mauve (you know the colour that they quite often use for french chairs etc). I've looked at the following from zoffany: fig grey, dusk and victorian purple. They may be too much purple so you could buy a grey and mix your own with a mauve tester pot

Hi.. have a look at the Colortrend colours for kitchen. You can use a darker version of wall colour for kitchen units also. Definitely paint them skirtings! hope this helps.. Tony

Probably the light catches the wallpaper in a different way than the paint on the wall, so the cream paint didn't seem to work as well as you'd hoped. It's tricky... Maybe if you painted a swatch of the right green he might learn to love it?

As a last resort, see if you can get a co-ordinating solid wallcovering from the same collection as the patterned paper you purchased.
