Window Dressing Expertise needed!!
Hello all,
So my living room extension is just about complete (6m * 6m), I painted it yesterday and am waiting for it to dry out a little more before putting down the oak flooring (still to be bought!!)
I have bought the furniture in the picture below ( 2 purple couches, a grey couch - not in the photo, and the green footstool) which is in storage & being delivered later this month.
My new dilemma is about window dressing. The second photograph below is the extension and I have 3, 1 meter windows - 1 either side of the fireplace (south facing) and 1 the other side of the room (north facing). On the westerly side of the room we have a 3m centred window and 2, 0.5m windows either side.
How am I going to dress all the windows? I was thinking a voile curtain on a track and eyelet curtains on the 1m windows which will be pulled back to one side only (see 3rd image below!)
Regarding the large window space - are there any recommendations? It is facing the back garden which is private not overlooked so I'm thinking a voile track across the whole lot and stationary curtains at either side. I want to be able to have full view of the window because we have the most magnificent view over the mountains to the rear. I'm lost about what to do so any help greatly appreciated!!!

Comments (7)I believe the cabinets are a dark charcoal, sometimes also known as off black... The valences can be even more super simple to make yourself if you buy two table runners with a similar design and sew three ends together :) then sew rod pocket and install the rod on the back of the overhang :) If you can't find table runners, it's such simple sewing that definitely can be done by a beginner....See MoreDressing Room wallpaper ideas

I meant that as your room seems to be quite light, floor included, a dark grey that matches the bird on your wallpaper would give you that wow factor (pic1 below). You could then work on the layering textures within the same colour palette too with the rest of your accessories (rugs, mirrors etc). Or if you're not too keen on greys, pick out one of the other colours if you prefer- you have a good selection of pink, blue, green or yellow. Comments (5)Hi. I don't think a curtain/s in the middle will work as you'll have the radiator either side plus a potential issue with the poles? Why not try Romans (if they fit, as i can't see the inside of the window frame!) and a single curtain either side? Rather than use tiebacks so they're draped across the window just use a holdback similar to the pic so they're held back instead. hope things are progressing well for you. Your latest image still shows bare walls with no window treatments at all. Thought you may be interested in our latest cast aluminium window sills if you are intending to go for a ultra modern or industrial / warehouse style for the decor. They are all made to measure, and you can personalise with your house or family name?
Or perhaps our latest glass window shutters or illuminated window shutters for the smaller windows? Something different and unique for you to think about perhaps? Otherwise good luck with your project.
