I really like the clean lines of your kitchen , it's beautiful and I would not add to much colour but you could use some accessories with green and white that would compliment this minimalistic kitchen. For example adding a bright green plant/s or an accessory the same colour as the clock on your top wall can put everything in a nice perspective!

Hello Orla, I love your Kitchen, you have nice fitting, stunning floor and lots of space! Have you got a splash back already? If not, what are you thinking to add, if you are? With those cabinets some glass panel would look nice and you could pick a colourful one as well. Walls painted in white would look quite flat and boring in your case so I would definitely go for a warm colour or maybe off yellow, that would suit your cabinets colour and the floor too. Personally, I would rather not have the space between ceiling and tall units - would take units right up to ceiling. Something just doesn't sit right with me with regard to spacing- in particular the very small space to the left of the hob. Like others I feel there are too many colours and would have had the island in a grey - but I love the colours of the walls. I like the shelf - but not pushed in the corner like that!! One of the first things that caught my eye was the different colours of door and window frames in the house- I would have kept them all the same.... Not going to mention the stools!!!! I love the rounded units and would have opted to have rounded edges on the island to be in keeping, personally. Finally, this all sounds rather picky but we all know it is down to personal taste and overall it looks very nice. THANK YOU for allowing us all to put our two pennith in and our would be designer hats on..... I love these articles and it does give us food for thought!

All, Looking for advice from those who work in Kitchen Design. I recently finished my studies and am qualified Interior Designer (Higher Diploma BTEC). I am currently working at Kitchen Design Showroom. I was hired specifically do 3D Kitchen Renders / Presentation Packs / Face to Face presentation of proposed design to clients etc. I really love kitchens design and even though I am qualified designer, my course emphasis was Commercial Design (Hospitality / Retail outlets). I feel I have a lot to learn in order to feel confident to design kitchens (logical next step). Can anyone recommend good go to resources for Kitchen Designers - books, links? Am I best off learning on the job or do people think it would be worth doing a follow on Diploma specifically in Kitchen Design? Thanks everyone!
